The new Huddersfield Student newspaper website sneak preview, under construction
The Huddersfield Student newspaper is to release a new version of its online counterpart, Huddersfield Student news live.
The new design of website, to be launched on New Year’s Day 2010, will give the website a more categorised, newspaper look and feel and will make it easier for users to find stories that interest them.
The design, adapted from existing templates, is not planned to be the final version of the website, with plans to expand online Huddersfield Student news output.
The website was launched in September 2009 and has received visits from over 2,000 unique users since.
In November the existing website ran a series of stories on the University’s proposed changes to class times that has received over 400 votes, and has launched a petition to coincide with the ‘If it’s not broken…’ campaign in January.
The new design coincides with an advertising campaign that will go live across campus in January in the hopes of boosting traffic to the news website.
The website will allow users to see information and will allow them to post stories of interest to their Twitter accounts instantly.
I so much ought to get professionally in gear and build a blog similar to this one.
