An interview with Patrick Stewart OBE, Hollywood movie star and Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, is to take place on RadioHudd in mid-November it was announced yesterday.

Matt Christie announced the “radio coup” on the afternoon radio show he shares with Dan White, ‘Matt and Dan in the afternoon‘.

The interview is set to take place on the show on 19 November.

Stewart, well known for his stage and screen appearances including the X-Men trilogy, became the University’s Chancellor in 2004, and agreed to a second term of five-years in 2009.

Since taking up the role he has contributed to University life by appearing at graduation ceremonies, events and last year travelled to Hong Kong to officiate at a ceremony for students studying there.

Stewart was on campus yesterday as part of the visit of the Duke of Gloucester, just hours before the announcement was made live on RadioHudd.

    I’m sure RadioHudd will do whatever they can to make the interview available to as many people as possible.
    Will you not be listening live?

    They should probably start thinking about recording all their ‘Class A’ shows and putting them up in podcast form.

    That way we can fill our lonely weekends with even more RadioHudd.
