The University of Huddersfield and it’s Students’ Union (UHSU) was yesterday closed due to snow by Vice Chancellor, Bob Cryan.
An email, sent to all students and staff explained that the University was to be closed at 1pm to allow anyone on campus to travel home safely.
The recent snowfall has brought about temporary closure of organisations across the country, with over 1,200 schools closed in the north today.
The picture, right, was ‘tweeted’ by Huddersfield student Lee, from the sixth floor of the library.
Lee later asked UHSU, via Twitter, “Is all this server maintenance and snow rubbish enough to warrent deadline extensions?”
The library and University has been opened again today, but with snowfall continuing around the country, several members of staff have been unable to make the commute.
